I started writing today and the sun was shiningdown all over the garden but the man-cave was nicely shaded by a big tree i planted about 10 years ago. Then with the power of the universe the sun started to beam straight through the doors at the front. 'no problems' i thought 'I will put the fan on!'. I was wrong.
As I hit the magic 2000 words the temperature according to my Ikea clock was 36 degrees. I think this may have been the hottest place on Earth at 1300hrs GMT. Death Valley had nothing on the Man-cave.
I did the manly thing and battled on! approx. 5 minutes after this decision I retired to the shaded part of the garden and left the writing for another day. Probably a wise idea as I was losing water quicker than I could drink.
Lovely day though and as an after thought the story is coming along nicely.
